Inspection authorities of nuclear safety in the world and their purpose
Dvořák, Aleš ; Nerud, Pavel (referee) ; Šen, Hugo (advisor)
This thesis deals with issues of nuclear safety. The first section provides an overview of international organizations and associations, which control via their activities all regulations concerning nuclear safety, the technical state of equipments and systems in nuclear power plants. The second part deals with technical description of important equipment and systems of the nuclear powerplants at chosen nuclear reactors of II. and III. generation. The last part explains the conception of nuclear safety deeply. The reader can gain a deep overview of the different levels of protection and attention is also paid to the methods that contribute to the evaluation of nuclear safety.
Influence of residual stress on pressure vessel part fatigue life
Boleloucký, Václav ; Vincour, Dušan (referee) ; Létal, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the impact of a residual stress, caused by an applied cyclic pressure, on fatigue life of a pressure vessel part (flat end–cylinder connection). Bachelor’s thesis includes the design of the pressure vessel according to CSN EN 13 445 regulations, analytical solution in Maple software, from which stresses and deformations are determined. Then the results of the analytical approach are firstly verified by a FEM modelling in ANSYS Workbench software and secondly compared to each other in graphs and discussed. From the values of stresses in FEM, analysis fatigue life expectations are calculated with the respect to CSN EN 13 445 regulations, for two cases. First one, where a pressure test is applied and second one, where the pressure test is not applied before the pressure vessel is put into service. In the conlusion the obtained results are discussed.
Software comparison for design and control of pressure vessels
Staňková, Lucie ; Pernica, Marek (referee) ; Lošák, Pavel (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to compare different software for pressure vessels design and control. This comparison is done by designing a given pressure vessel, specifically a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is designed in software Sant’Ambrogio, Visual Vessel Design and PV Elite. Advantages and disadvantages of used software are discussed. Thesis evaluates various aspects of design, particularly graphic interfaces, user-friendliness, clarity and calculated results. The results for the cylindrical shell and the torispherical end of each software are analysed and compared to own calculations based on ČSN EN 13445 design code. Differences among results are explained. Thesis also contains the literature search report of pressure vessels design.
Pressure vessels pressurized water reactors
Horváth, Radovan ; Martinec, Jiří (referee) ; Suk, Ladislav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the development of research on the topic of the pressure vessels of pressurized water reactors. Next is to outline the various design solutions of pressure vessels of pressurized water reactor. The thesis is divided into five chapters, contains 1 chart and 7 graphics. The theoretical part is dedicated to the history of nuclear energy and the development itself in the world. The description of the classifications of nuclear reactors is also included in the theoretical part. Summary of the theoretical part consists of a detailed description of the pressure vessel and pressurized water reactor itself. Practical part of this thesis contains the design of 3D assembly model and its modification in the program Catia V5. The overall model is composed of a main assembly, namely the body of the reactor and sub-assemblies, which were gradually installed.
Design of column
Marko, Libor ; Buzík, Jiří (referee) ; Nováček, Filip (advisor)
The thesis contains information about the design of pressure vessels and describes their individual parts. It is mentioned production of individual parts and the process including assembly parts in one unit. The thesis includes options of control and testing of pressure vessels. It is described kinds of built-ins of distillation column and the basic principles and types of distillation. It is created stress analysis of pressure vessels parts according to ČSN EN 13 445 – 3, and also stress analysis of the selected part of column by using FEM. Mechanical drawing of distillation column is part of the thesis.
Welding of pressure vessels
Máca, Martin ; Dohnal, Ivo (referee) ; Daněk, Ladislav (advisor)
The work is focused on the technology of welding pressure vessels. The chosen pressure vessel was one for beer fermentation (also known as CK tank). In addition there are methods of weld inspection and legislative rules for pressure vessels, also mentioned in this work.
Design of adsorber
Štěpánek, Josef ; Nekvasil, Richard (referee) ; Létal, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on design of adsorber. Rule CSN EN 13 345 is used to calculate of design adsorber. Finite element method (FEM) is used tor stress analysis a categoration of the stress.
Single cylinder compressor
Novák, Jakub ; Nohál, Libor (referee) ; Dvořáček, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a design of single cylinder compressor. The thesis contains basic calculations and proposal of compression unit completed with drawing documentation. Finally the thesis proposes the concept of compression unit along with a pressure tank and a drive placed together on the carrying frame.
Stress-strain analysis of a chosen fire extinguisher
Češek, Jakub ; Petruška, Jindřich (referee) ; Novák, Kamil (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with stress-strain analysis of chosen extinguisher. Within this thesis, different types of closures are summarized and their influence in stress state is thoroughly analyzed. The stress-strain analysis is solved by using momentum shell theory as well as membrane shell theory. At the end of this thesis numerical solutions by using Finite Elements Method (FEM) is performed in Ansys software. All results are compared in conclusion of the thesis.
Practical comparison of pressure vessels design approaches within ČSN EN 13445
Procházka, Tomáš ; Pernica, Marek (referee) ; Lošák, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a practical comparison of pressure vessels design approaches within ČSN EN 13445. The thesis aimed to design the device using various approaches described in the European Standard and compare them. For the design was chosen a liquid filter, which works as the first stage of the filtration system in a waste-to-energy plant. In the first part of the thesis is introduced to different routes of design by analysis (DBA), including a description of plasticity conditions and finite element types. These theoretical knowledge are applied in the practical part. The practical part consists of designs of the pressure vessel according to different approaches and methods. The first approach is a design by formulae (DBF), which was done in software Visual Vessel Design. The second approach is DBA. This method of design can be realized according to the European Standard by two routes, either by Method base on the stress categories or so-called Direct Route. Both routes were performed in this work. Stress analyzes were made in programs ANSYS Workbench and NozzlePRO. At the end of the thesis, there is a comparison of used approaches and the resulting values of the design.
